Welcome

Our son Sean passed away suddenly and without explanation at the age of eight on October 11, 2009.  Sean was a bright and enthusiastic child who was significantly dyslexic.  We provided Sean every type of support possible to see that he obtained the appropriate help he needed to achieve the goal of learning to read and write.  Unfortunately due to cut backs and insufficient funding there is not always the necessary equipment and teachers trained to help children with learning disabilities without the supplemental help of foundations like ours.  Please help children like Sean gain the skills of reading and writing to be confident and successful in life.  No child should have to struggle and feel inferior in school because the right help is not available.

Sean's dream was to grow up and either invent something to help children overcome learning disabilities or speak at schools to children to let them know it is possible to learn. Sean did not want any other children to have anxiety about school or feel they can not learn in school.

Our Mission

The mission of the Sean Weisse Foundation is to raise money to support children who are dyslexic or have any type of learning disability.  These disabilities prevent children from learning to read and write. The money raised will be used to provide awareness, training, equipment and learning techniques to the children with learning disabilities to achieve our overall goal of making sure our children successfully learn to read and write.

Please contact sjwcommittee@yahoo.com if your seeking assistance for your child.
